We have had no problems with our vaccum. It's just what we needed for basement messes. Hose and cord are not exceptionally long, but we've accommodated fine.

I purchased this to replace my regular shop vac that had rusted through after 2.5 years of light (dry use) and the only things I wanted was a container that would not rust, and quieter operation. When I operated them side by side for comparison the new "Quiet Plus" one is only slightly less loud. However, I don't expect it will rust out and it is a bit lighter. I'm not totally satisfied with the sound level but I can live with it.
