If I had to pick one word to describe this sweeper it would be "Powerful." I can't believe the sucking-blowing airflow capability packed in this little thing. I didn't think the 1.75 HP was gonna be enough and almost bought the Armor-All vacuum because it was 2.0 HP - boy was I wrong. It's almost too powerful! It blows my curtains in a frenzy from across the room at 20ft. and the sucking power is equally intense. It can draw in a gallon of water in seconds, it will not only pick up the dirt on the carpet-it will pick up the carpet if it's not nailed down.Very easy to switch from vacuum to blower,just pull out the hose from one side and plug in the other side and turn on.On-off switch right on top-don't have to look for it.Easy to clean-never needs bags. I'm so happy with this vac I'm gonna buy another one. This is the best sweeper I ever used, even more power than a full-sized vacuum. Very light to carry but seems very rugged-tough. This isn't an average sweeper-it's top-notch and you won't regret buying one.

Vacmaster is not the first product name when you think of shop vacs? I was looking for something better than a weak hand held vacuum and smaller than the typical shop vac. This seems to fit those criteria pretty well. It is definitely portable. Be aware it does not have wheels so you will tip it over a few times after expecting it to follow you by pulling on the hose - it seems to have plenty of power to clean the inside of the car, vacuum refrigerator coils, furnace box controls, etc

I have to admit I'm a little surprised at how well the VP205 performs. It has plenty of suction but at the same time is extremely portable and reasonably quiet. I regularly use it to clean car interiors and its small size makes it a breeze to maneuver wherever its needed (I will often wedge it between the front seats). Is it as powerful as a full size Shop Vac? Of course not, but its rare that I actually need that much power or capacity and the VP205 is much more convenient to use (and easier on the ears). Great deal for the price.
